Recently Dr. Ray visited Washington, D.C. to continue bettering his education at the 110th American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session. The theme of the meeting was based around the motto: Passion for Excellence.
The Opening Ceremonies took place Saturday, May 1, ending the session on May 4th with an AAO Gala held in the Newsum. Live entertainment, food, and museum exhibits were provided to to doctors and staff to help them unwind after a long few days of knowledge overload.
The session consisted of several educational offerings. Special events, programs, business meetings, workshops, lectures and an exciting exhibit hall made up the majority of the session provided to the doctors and staff.
The goal of the session is education. With continuous education, doctor's can provide their patients with exceptional treatment and top-of-the-line technology. The knowledge the doctors and staff gain helps them to become aware of the current expansion of knowledge and the future of orthodontics.
Not only did the attendees gain professional knowledge, they also gained from inspiration and personal development lectures. Matthew Kelly's "Dream Manager," was part if the May 1st Personal and Professional Development program. The program helped to educate attendees on how to "achieve goals in work and in life and how organizations can achieve more by enabling employees to achieve their individual goals," said Robert James Bray, AAO President.
It will come to no surprise the AAO Exhibit Hall was one of the main featured events. The Exhibit Hall feature the world's largest assemblage of orthodontic products. Vendors prepared and gathered several individual exhibits in the hall to provide exceptional products to meet the patients needs.
The knowledge gained from the session will lead to a more successful treatment plan for you and your family, provided by Dr. Ray. Next year's session will be hosted in Chicago in 2011. These session are certainly not something any doctor or staffer would want to miss.
